Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: April 25, 2026

Morristown Braces is committed to making morristownbraces.com and our orthodontic practice accessible to people with disabilities. We believe everyone deserves a confident smile — and a website they can actually use.

Our commitment

We are working to bring the Website into substantial conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 ("WCAG 2.1") at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. WCAG 2.1 explains how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.

This is an ongoing effort. As we redesign, expand, and improve the Website, we will continue to work toward conformance with current accessibility standards.

What we do

  • Use semantic HTML so screen readers can navigate page structure.
  • Provide alternative text for meaningful images and icons.
  • Maintain sufficient color contrast for body text and key interface elements.
  • Support full keyboard navigation throughout primary user flows (booking a consultation, contacting the practice, reading service information).
  • Use clear, plain language whenever possible.
  • Avoid auto-playing audio or rapidly flashing content.
  • Test the site against WCAG 2.1 Level AA criteria during major updates.

Known limitations

We are honest about where we still have work to do:

  • Some older PDFs in our patient resources area may not be fully accessible to screen readers. If you need information from one of these documents, contact us and we will provide an accessible alternative.
  • Some third-party embedded content (booking widgets, maps, video) may not meet our internal accessibility standards. We work with our vendors to improve their accessibility and we will replace tools that fail to meet reasonable standards and a suitable alternative exists.
  • Decorative images and background imagery may lack alt text by design. These are not required for understanding page content.

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on the Website, please tell us. Real user feedback is the most reliable signal of where we need to improve.

Accessibility at our office

The Website is one part of access. Our Morristown office is also designed with accessibility in mind:

  • Wheelchair-accessible entrance and treatment areas.
  • Accessible parking spaces near the entrance.
  • Reasonable accommodations available on request — including extended appointment times, written materials in alternative formats, sign language interpretation arranged in advance, and quiet treatment environments for patients with sensory sensitivities.

If you need an accommodation for an appointment, contact us in advance so we can arrange it in a way that works for you.

Requesting accessible alternatives

If you have difficulty accessing any content, document, or feature on the Website, we will provide the information in another format at no cost. We aim to respond within two business days.

To request an accommodation or report an accessibility barrier:

  • Email: info@morristownbraces.com
  • Phone: (973) 998-6266
  • Mail: Morristown Braces, Attn: Accessibility, 2 Morris Ave, Morristown, NJ 07960

When you contact us, please include:

  1. The page URL or feature where you experienced a barrier.
  2. The assistive technology, browser, and device you were using (if known).
  3. A description of the issue and what would help.
  4. The best way to reach you.

Standards and laws

We aim to comply with applicable accessibility laws in the United States, including:

  • The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), as it applies to places of public accommodation.
  • Section 504 and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, where applicable.
  • New Jersey state laws governing accessibility of healthcare services.

We follow the principles of WCAG 2.1 Level AA as our technical guideline.

Third-party content

Some content on the Website is provided by third parties (booking forms, embedded maps, social media feeds, video players). We work with vendors that share our commitment to accessibility, but we do not control all third-party tools. If you encounter an accessibility barrier in third-party content, contact us and we will help you reach the information another way.

Continuous improvement

We will:

  • Audit the Website at least annually against WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
  • Train our team on accessible content authoring.
  • Treat accessibility as part of every redesign and major content update — not a separate task.
  • Update this Statement when our practices change.
